Santa Ashe Arts Center in Downtown West Jefferson 8:30am - 10:30am Children of all ages are invited to enjoy a Christmas time treat, pictures with Santa, storytime with Mrs. Claus, holiday craft activity, music, milk and cookies. Receive a Christmas book and treat bag. Admission is $2 per student, children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are free. Tickets and Pre-registration encouraged. More information on the time and dates to follow. Ongoing Activities Greenfield's Music Jam - This jam session has its origins in the campground that bears its name. On any given Friday night, year-round, you can drop in and listen as between 8 and 15 musicians gather to make mountain and gospel music and have old time fellowship! All are welcome to either join in or just listen and appreciate. The music starts around 7 p.m. and goes until 10 p.m. or later. Directions: In the summertime, the group meets in the cool basement of the camp store at the corner of the entrance to Greenfields (1795 Mt Jefferson Road). In the winter they meet in the campground at the rectangular building. 336-246-9106. New River State Park's Visitors Center is open every day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Come out and enjoy touring the exhibit hall or watch a short video about the park.
